The Salt Museum stands in the center of Delden, where in 1886 salt was found in the soil in the gardens of Twickel Castle. The museum tells the complete story of salt in all its facets. It is not only about the history of Twickel, Boekelo and Hengelo, but especially about periods much further back in time and places around the world. Salt is world history!
